We made it back from Mississippi after a much needed two day break. We love going to Mississippi to visit Brandan's mom and enjoy the beach and the pool. Summer is my happy time and the beach is my happy place ☺️
Now that we're back, I have to edit a couple of videos that we filmed while we were in the Sip, which I'll be getting started on tonight. I filmed a vlog and Brandan and I filmed a Q&A style video. I also want to work on my vision board this week which I'm looking forward to so much! π
I'll be posting the links to my new videos here when they are up. Until then, enjoy my latest video!

Let's Go to the Beach-each!
Yesterday was a pretty lazy day for the most part, other than doing my nails I really didn't do much, but it was a Sunday so I'm not disappointed. Sundays have always been rest days for me.
Today was different. Although we haven't done much (Brandan has a few days off from work) we've decided not to do much in Mississippi. I've been up since 6:30 this morning running errands and then we decided we wanted to go to the beach! So here we are π His mom lives right on the beach so we like to come here often to get away for a day or two at a time which is always nice for our well beings. I consider myself a mermaid so if I'm away from the water for too long I start to shrivel π
Unfortunately, the weather isn't looking too great for tomorrow, but hopefully we get to squeeze in some beach time. If not, theres always today at the least! It's late in the afternoon because we both decided to take a "20 minute" nap (it ended up being an hour and a half as always π)
I'll end this mindless blog post short only because I'm trying to take advantage of the day light. I am vlogging these next couple of days, so you can look out for that soon and if the weather is bad enough tomorrow I'll probably be filming some more formal videos and taking pictures.
Have a great week! Stay tuned for the next blog post π

Happy Saturday! (mindless journal)
So far, I've had a very nice Saturday. I hope yours is going well too ☺️
I woke up a little earlier than I anticipated this morning because Benzie (my dog πΆ) is an escape artist and got out of his cage so I had to get him under control. I brought the dogs outside and enjoyed the fresh, cool air under the patio. I know, fresh and cool are not words usually used during the summer time in New Orleans π but it was early so the sun hadn't managed to toast everything to a crisp just yet.
I must admit, I had planned on exercising yesterday, but I ran into some technical issues editing my video and spent an extra almost 3 hours more correcting those issues. Sooooo, I had to skip on the exercise. Don't worry though, I took my extra time this morning to go for a walk around the neighborhood with my mom and the dogs. We went at the perfect time because the sun wasn't as hot as it is now (102 degrees to be specific π) I'm 25 weeks pregnant and had no issue getting through our morning walk but Benzie and Bella tapped out on me at the last block π I mean, if I can get through it you would think those two could but, π€·♀️ oh well!
After our walk I took a shower and then a bubble bath and discovered something incredible (or at least I think it is π ). If you fill up your bath water just enough to where it covers your ears and not your face and you just lay there, it is will be the most peaceful quiet time you will ever experience. I could hear nothing but my breath and my heartbeat and it gave me a moment of thought and serenity which is hard to come by nowadays for me.
Now I have the rest of the day ahead of me after a well balanced breakfast (brunch?) I want to film something today but unfortunately am having a hard time deciding on what to film. Don't get me wrong, I have a long list of things that I plan on filming, but given that I have so many options, it's hard to choose just one π©
I'll take the next hour while I do my hair and makeup to pick something, because other than filming, I really have nothing else planned out for the day and I really don't want to sit around and just do nothing.
So wish me luck on that and go watch my newest video on YouTube which I edited and posted yesterday. It's a 6 month maternity photoshoot vlog...you know, cool mom stuff ππ And if you have Instagram, go like all my newest pictures from the photoshoot π

friYAY
I know I haven’t posted on here in a while, and not that you care (or noticed?) but I’ve updated the look of the blog π YAY
So lately I've been kind of frustrated with the disorganization of my life. I never schedule anything and just do things on the fly. I feel like I am doing a disservice to myself and devaluing my time. I'm not living to my fullest potential because of my lack of time management. The crazy part is that I feel like I'm doing so much, but at the end of the day I have nothing to show for it.
I have taken the time to analyze what I'm doing wrong and to research how other successful people manage their success, and in that research I've found that most people have a set schedule and THEY STICK TO IT. Procrastinating has ALWAYS for as long as I can remember been my biggest flaw. I have consciously decided to make it a goal to end that very bad habit and I know creating a daily schedule for myself will greatly help me in that department and will also help me to actually achieve my goals.
I have always had so many goals in mind but no set plan or timeline to achieve them. I guess you could say they were more pipe dreams than actual goals. It's not fair to myself to continue down this endless downward spiral. I owe myself more than this. I know my potential and I know once I put my mind to something it will get done, but it's just a matter of planning it out and going through with it. YOU GOTTA START SOMEWHERE! So today, I am starting. Today, I am making a change. Today, I will decide that I am worth more than I have given myself credit for. Today, is the beginning. Because I am sick and tired of failure.
On that note, I'll be editing a vlog that I filmed earlier this week and also I'll be composing a list of future videos to film. Oh, by the way! I started filming again. I am making it a goal to actually stick to a filming schedule. I am making it a goal to prioritize my channel and to stay disciplined.
Ever since I started my Youtube channel 8ish years ago it's always been something in the back of my head that I knew I not only wanted to do, but that I HAD to do. It's something that I think about often. It's something that people tell me I should do because I am "so good at it". It's something that I see myself having success in. When people ask me "why don't you post more often?" I never have a good enough answer for them because saying "I'm lazy" although it's accurate, is embarrassing because I and others expect so much more out of me. So, it ends today.
Ok, it's 12:29 and I told myself I would start editing at 12:30 so I'll be ending this blog post here.
πNew video will be up later tonight so go watch it (if you're reading this π)π

Looking for Kim K!
Look at me! Full on "incognito mode" π
Lol this was me today after attempting to look for Kim Kardashian (@kimkardashian) and Malika Haqq (@forevermalika) in New Orleans. I literally walked around for hours looking after being prompted by a small hint from her Snapchat (@kimkardashian) as to where she may be:
Unfortunately it was the only hint I was given by Kim K herself and it proved not enough to find her. Oh well maybe next time!
She and Malika had posted a selfie to snapchat earlier this morning in the plane on their way to NOLA
The two flew down in support of their friend Raquel Smith who suffered a gun shot wound to the leg in a road rage altercation that led to her husband's (Former Saints DE Will Smith) death Saturday April 9.
Read more about it here:

Correction: Khadijah Haqq McCray (@foreverkhadijah) was with Kim K today. I've been fooled by their twin powers π©π

My Favorite Setting Powders
So I mentioned in my recent video (http://youtu.be/ZYlTKz-klGI) how I've been using the Ben Nye banana powder to brighten up certain areas of my face. It's definitely one of my favorites for its soft texture, but I wanted to mention a few other favorites of mine. Check them out! π―
